Brian has 40 years of water treatment and mining and mineral processing experience in North and South America and other international geographies solving many technical problems in precious metals, base metals, iron ore, uranium, alumina, industrial minerals processing and coal preparation operations.
Brian has detailed knowledge of gold processing including scale and deposit control, corrosion control, flotation, leaching, CIP, CIL, dewatering, carbon elution, electrowinning, carbon reactivation, gravity gold recovery, Meryl Crowe precipitation, autoclave/roaster operation, backfill/paste fill production, thickeners, dust control, etc.
Brian also has extensive knowledge of all aspects of water treatment including effluent treatment, mine water clarification, cyanide destruction, heavy metal removal, remediation, and utilities (boiler & cooling) pretreatment and functional treatments and is a recognized global expert in scale and deposit control and corrosion control in the mining industry.
Brian has developed various laboratory test methods for thickening, clarification, dewatering, carbon activity, filtration, dust suppression and numerous relevant analytical chemistry methods. Brian has also published various technical papers on scale control, dust control and related fields and developed and delivered a variety of technical training courses for water treatment and mining industry technical professionals.
Cagdas has total 18 years professional experience with 11 years of water treatment experience with the last 7 years spent 100% in mining and mineral processing in the Turkish Mining Industry. He has visited most of the precious metals mine sites in Turkey and serviced a significant number of them. Providing solutions for many technical problems in gold, silver, zinc, lead, copper, nickel, cobalt mine sites at heap leach, tank leach, autoclave, Merrill Crowe, flotation process plants.
Cagdas has detailed knowledge of chemical applications for scale and deposit control and attended several lab testing and site trial phasis of filtration aids, metals precipitation, dust control both for material handling and roads, agglomeration aids, and thickeners.
Cagdas also has extensive knowledge of all aspects of chemical feed pumps, feed systems, bulk tanks and automation systems to synchronize with mining plant equipments for efficiency and
optimal treatment results. He designed and installed the largest bulk tank feed system for one of the biggest heap leach plants in Turkey continued with maintenance support during operation phase.
Cagdas prepared and presented several training programs on scale and deposit control, bulk tanks, chemical feed equipment for customer operators to keep the treatment programs most effective.
Cagdas previously held several positions as project engineer and project manager for Iron and Steel Mill, Waste Water Treatment Plants, Hydroelectric Power Plants, Natural Gas Fired Power Plants and Geothermal Power Plants during the investment phases from green field to commercial operations.
