Rod Tyreman

Rod is a Metallurgical Engineer with over 25 years of international experience in the mining and mineral processing industry and currently owns and operates his own consulting business managing projects and providing support in the mining sector. He has played key roles in various stages of the project life cycle from concept to commissioning and key roles in operation from start-up to mine closure. During his career he spent approximately 17 years with various gold mining companies and over 10 in various engineering and consulting roles. Before branching out on his own, Rod’s experience includes the following,

• Allnorth’s Director Mining Project Development helping the company build out their mining capabilities.
• Plant Superintendent at Barrick's Pueblo Viejo mine in the Dominican Republic and was responsible for the operation of one of the world's most complex gold processing facilities.
• Mill Manager at New Gold's New Afton Mine.
• Plant Superintendent at Detour's gold plant assisting in commissioning and ramp up of their 60,000 tpd facility.
• Hatch working with various clients and projects such as Vale, Eldorado Gold (Tocantinzhino, Brazil), Kinross Gold (Fruta del Norte), Barrick Gold and others.
• Construction coordinator/CM at Quadra's Carlotta Project and managed the relocation of Barrick's Getchell mill from Nevada to Nicaragua.
• Caldag Project in south-west Turkey
• Omai Gold Mine in Guyana.
• Madsen Mine, Red Lake, ON.
• Goldcorp's Red Lake Mine.
• Project Coordinator on the McEwen Shaft Sinking Project in Red Lake, ON.
